In Memory of an Unnamed Queen ~ Gamba Adisa

Legend has it that the queen went to labor while she was travelling, stopping she asked for water “mai belalei” ~ to ask for some water ~ and from that the whole neighborhood, in which she was, is called “mai bela”

“Mai Bela” becomes not just a name but a symbol of that moment of need and community response. This story beautifully blends royal history with a touch of human vulnerability and the power of communal memory.
